FIELD: pharmacology.

SUBSTANCE: method for production of an antimicrobial peptide of cecropin P1 from an extract of transgenic pinnated Kalanchoe plants, including plant leaves incubation in the dark at 4-8°C for 7 days, leaves grinding, extracting with an equal amount of distilled water, extract separation by centrifugation, extract maintaining at 70°C for 1 hour, extract sterilisation through a membrane filter and addition of a preservative - 0.5% chloroform to store the extract, and to isolate the peptide of cecropin P1, salting it out of the extract with 80% ammonium sulfate, precipitate dissolution and gel filtration, followed by purification on a column with the Superdex Peptide HR 10/30 carrier and determination of the molecular weight of the eluted peak by mass spectrometry and its antibiotic activity.

EFFECT: broad range of antimicrobial action.
