FIELD: heating.
SUBSTANCE: polymer material is formed from a thermoplastic composition containing a continuous phase, which comprises of a matrix polymer, and in which the microinclusion additive and the nanoinclusion additive are dispersed in the form of discrete domains. The material defines a porous network that includes a plurality of nanopores with an average cross-sectional dimension of about 800 nanometers or less. The polymer material shows a thermal conductivity of approximately 0.20 watts per meter-kelvin or less.
EFFECT: improving the heat properties of the material.
