SUBSTANCE: invention relates to thoracic surgery. The retainer for rib osteosynthesis is made in the form of an elongated plate having paired grips along the longitudinal edges to cover the ribs, and longitudinally located openings in the middle part. The plate is made of a shape-memory material. The openings are made in the form of rectangular windows, the middle of which are designed to visually monitor the position of the fracture line, and tongues are made in the outer windows for placement in bone openings. The bases of the tongues are located on the side of the short ends of the plate.
EFFECT: minimization of manipulation in the wound when fixing the retainer and excluding repeated surgical intervention due to lack of residual diastase.
