SUBSTANCE: method for correcting the mass-spectrometer adjustment values by molecular weight for mass-spectrometric determination of the mass peak includes setting the mass spectrometer of the first adjustment value corresponding to the molecular weight (M1), recording the corresponding signal amplitude (A1), setting the second adjustment value corresponding to the molecular weight (M2) different from the first adjustment value (M1), measuring the corresponding second signal amplitude (A2), setting the third adjustment value corresponding to the molecular weight (M3) different from the first (M1) and the second (M2) adjustment values, measuring the corresponding third amplitude (A3) of the signal, determining the quadratic function containing the measured amplitude values as the y values and the set adjustment values as x values, determining the maximum of a quadratic function. The desired adjustment value is determined for the molecular weight from the x value of the maximum.
