FIELD: measuring equipment.

SUBSTANCE: appliance comprises the test volume with the located at it glow-discharge cathodes and anodes. The test volume is housed within the wall of the reactor-tokamak vacuum chamber and linked to the plasma spectral response characteristics measuring instruments, which are situated behind the vacuum chamber, by virtue of the test channel. These instruments have the radiation sensor in the form of the PMT and the electric signals processing unit. The test volume is linked directly to the vacuum chamber volume, the test channel input is placed on the vacuum chamber wall, which is the opposite one in reference to the test volume, and the electric signals processing unit comprises the synchronous detector, which is connected to the glow-discharge current amplitude modulator according to the harmonic law, which in its turn is connected to the glow-discharge cathodes. The voltage generator is used in the function of the glow-discharge current modulator.

EFFECT: impurity density measurement through the spectral lines performances measurement over the large surface area of the plasma filament with the low statistical error in measurement under the high natural radiation level.
