FIELD: power engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of power plants of a tokamak type and may be used in development and design of magnetic thermonuclear plants with a reactor core in the form of a torus. In the stated thermonuclear reactor the reactor core is made in the form of a vortex torus, at the same time the cooling system is arranged in the form of a running-evaporating heat exchanger, which also has the shape of the vortex torus, equidistantly located relative to the reactor core. Some magnetic traps are placed between turns of the vortex torus.
EFFECT: increased volume of a reactor core, increased heat exchanger area, possibility to create conditions for more efficient stabilisation of plasma and prevention of plasma contact with reactor core walls.
