FIELD: engine devices and pumps.

SUBSTANCE: in method, the liner is crimped by mandrel introduced therein with limiters equal in length and radial relative to the liner by rolling forces. Prior to crimping, the liner is heated to temperature (0.3…0.5) depending on material grade Tmp, where Tmp is melting point is material melting point, and crimping is carried out between device surfaces comprising a rotating body in the form of a circular sector and a block of similar annular adjustable sectors with a force exceeding the yield point of the liner material by gradual decrease of the distance between surfaces of said device by shifting annular sectors of said block relative to each other, the crimped liner is extracted, subjected to tempering and mechanical machining of its inner surface and outer seating surfaces to required dimensions.

EFFECT: invention makes it possible to simplify and improve the quality of restored liners by reducing the contact stresses and reducing the energy capacity of the restoration process.
