FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: method for quantitative evaluation of the image segmentation comprises receiving a medical image of a patient's physical structure, receiving an adapted physical structure network model for a medical image, determining a quantitative image parameter based on the medical image intensity values in each of the plurality of vertices of the adapted grid model, and combining a plurality of quantitative image parameters to determine the adaptation quality metric. The system for implementing the method comprises a memory and a processor determining a quantitative image parameter based on the medical image intensity values in each of the plurality of vertices of the adapted grid model and combining a plurality of quantitative image parameters to determine the adaptation quality metric. The system is provided with a permanent machine-readable data carrier.
EFFECT: use of inventions allows to expand the arsenal of technical means for estimating image segmentation.
