SUBSTANCE: method for stopping the implementation of anti-virus file checks during the process of writing the said file to a disk in which the operation of opening the file by the user's application for data recording is determined by the antivirus application, antivirus scanning of the file for the presence of malicious code after the closing of the file is detected, the number of previously performed anti-virus checks of the said file using an antivirus table is determined if malicious code in the file is abscent, wherein said antivirus table is associated with the anti-virus application and contains the number of anti-virus checks of the said file, the threshold value equal to the maximum number of anti-virus checks of the said file, the number of antivirus checks performed per unit in the antivirus table for the file is increased, the first three steps in the process of writing the file to disk are performed as long as the increased number of performed anti-virus checks does not exceed the said threshold value, when the increased number of anti-virus checks exceeded the threshold value, execution of file anti-virus checks is stopped.

EFFECT: reducing the number of anti-virus file checks while writing the said files to disk.
