SUBSTANCE: optical character recognition is performed on one or more source images of the document in order to obtain the initial results of optical character recognition and to demonstrate to the user the initial results of optical character recognition of the document. Further, according to the method, a response is received from the user that contains the location of the error in the original results of the optical character recognition, wherein the error location is a position of the sequence of incorrectly recognized characters in the original results of the optical character recognition.

EFFECT: eliminating the need for manual text input using the keypad while verifying the results.
