FIELD: image recognition device.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to optical character recognition. Method for optical recognition of a sequence of symbols, comprising steps of: obtaining, by a processing device, a first image of a document with a plurality of planar regions, on which at least two planar regions of the plurality of planar regions are mutually non-coplanar, performing optical character recognition (OCR) of a first image to determine recognized text on a first image, obtaining text on one or more second images of the document, determining a plurality of reference points on the first and second images, determining parameters of the first and second coordinate transforms, determining, using parameters of first coordinate conversion and parameters of second coordinate transformation, cluster of sequences of symbols, containing a sequence of characters of recognized text on a first image and at least one corresponding sequence of symbols on one or more second images of a document and presentation of a result text of optical character recognition (OCR) containing a median sequence of symbols for a cluster of sequences of symbols.

EFFECT: technical result consists in wider range of the same purpose tools.
