SUBSTANCE: method comprises: obtaining a request by a user device processor for downloading a file stored locally on a user device to a cloud storage server; determination of time by the processor required for creation of a file identifier for the specified file and time required for downloading said file to the cloud storage server; in response to the time exceeding the time required for creating the file identifier for said file, the time required for downloading of said file to cloud storage server, downloading the file to the server of the cloud storage by the user device processor; creating a file identifier by the server and verifying based on file availability identifier of file copy on the server, and in response to the file copy detected on the server, creating a visual representation of the file associated with the file copy by the server; in response to the absence of the file copy on the server, saving the file on the server; in response to the time exceeding the time required for downloading said file to the cloud storage server, the time required for creation of the file identifier for said file.
