SUBSTANCE: information processing device is proposed, comprising: a content control unit for controlling the first content viewed on the content playback device side; a database unit for generating control data and placing the generated control data in a database by linking the first characteristic data of the first content to the right management information for the first characteristic data and the content identifier representing the first content, from which the first characteristic data is extracted; and an identification unit for identifying the content and returning a response indicating the identification result by accessing the control data of the database unit in response to the request containing the second characteristic data of the second content, viewed by the user of the contect playback device. The request is transmitted from the content playback device side.
