SUBSTANCE: invention relates to compositions of cast iron which can be used in machine-tool industry, mechanical engineering, in production of products of household purposes. Cast iron contains, wt %: carbon 2.0-2.9; silicon 1.0-1.7; manganese 0.1-0.5; magnesium 0.005-0.01; copper 1.7-2.1; praseodymium 0.07-0.11; niobium 0.45-0.55; aluminium 0.1-0.16; cobalt 2.7-3.1; rhenium 0.2-0.3; iron is the rest.
EFFECT: increased strength of cast iron.
