FIELD: machine engineering.

SUBSTANCE: compressor contains a compressor unit and a propulsion unit which rotor part and rotating parts of the compressor unit are located on a common shaft mounted on bearings, the compressor and the propulsion units are housed in common airtight casing. According to the invention, the propulsion unit is in the form of a synchronous jet engine with anisotropic magnetic conductivity of the rotor, which requires no cooling. Windings of the propulsion unit stator are located on the inside of the sealed body which has a cooling radiator installed outside. The shaft bearings are made in the form of two active magnetic bearings, one of which is located on one side of the propulsion unit, and the other one is between the engine and compressor units. The sealed body is divided into two main chambers by means of gas sealing element, the propulsion unit is located in a chamber on one side of the separation element, and the compressor unit on the other side.
