FIELD: mechanical engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a screw compressor plant for production and supply of compressed air on gravity humps of railway transport. Proposed plant comprises housing with hinged covers, motor, screw unit, heat exchanger, oil tank with separator communicated via oil lines with screw unit and air filter. Installation is equipped with a ceiling axial fan installed in the upper part of the housing, a panel for controlling the operation of the installation located outside the housing, an anti-vibration frame installed inside the housing on vibration damping pads. Electric motor has power of 132 kW. Electric motor and the screw unit are fixed on the anti-vibration frame. Screw unit is made with provision of high degree of air compression and consists of screw rotors. Heat exchanger is located on the housing for air cooling and is made with possibility of hot air emission outside. Housing is made with a protective casing and an opening for the compressed air discharge pipeline into the main line. Hinged covers are made noise-insulating.
EFFECT: invention is aimed at providing a high level of power and reducing power consumption due to pressure losses in the system.
