FIELD: chemistry.

SUBSTANCE: method involves the ethylene oligomerization in reactor in the presence of the solvent and the catalyst. The stream leaving from the top of the reactor is transferred to the external cooling device. The condensed output stream is recycled into the reactor. The stream leaving the bottom of the reactor is moved to the row of fractional columns. In the following order, i) optionally separate C4-fractions, ii) separate C6-fractions, iii) simultaneously separate C8- and C10-fractions and return it back to the reactor and iv) separate the residues, containing equal or higher than C12-fraction, the spent catalyst, the polymeric material and the cooling medium. The solvent is separated on either of stages i)-iv) and/or in the additional stage.

EFFECT: reduction of capital and operational costs, reduction of the heavy wax formation or its easy removal, improved heat removal.
