FIELD: engines and pumps.
SUBSTANCE: electrically heated catalytic converter includes a substrate made of ceramic. The substrate includes a catalyst-coated layer; electrode films (2) made of ceramics. Electrode films (2) are arranged on the substrate surface. Electrode leads (3) made of ceramics are attached to the corresponding electrode film (2). The outer electrodes (5) are attached to the corresponding electrode lead (3) through hard metal solder (4). The thermal expansion coefficient of the hard metal solder (4) is equal to or greater than the thermal expansion coefficient of the electrode leads (3) and equal to or less than the coefficient of thermal expansion of the outer electrodes (5). The thermal expansion coefficient of each of the electrode leads (3) decreases from the area where the electrode lead (3) is connected to hard metal solder (4), to the area where the electrode lead (3) is connected to the corresponding electrode film (2).
EFFECT: production of electrically heated catalytic converter which is adapted to reduce damage at interface between the components of converter due to the difference of thermal expansion coefficient between the components.
