SUBSTANCE: device (1) for the first operation and the second operation on the first region (2d, 2e, 2f) and the second region (2a, 2b, 2c) of the packaging material. The first region (2d, 2e, 2f) and the second region (2a, 2b, 2c) are spaced apart by a first distance (e) along said direction (A) when the packaging material portion (20) including the first region (2d, 2e, 2f) and the second region (2a, 2b, 2c) is flat. The said device (1) includes: a feeding group (6) for feeding of a packaging material roll (3) along the direction (A) in the first direction; the first tool (28a, 28b, 28c) configured to perform the first operation on the first region (2d, 2e, 2f) located in the first desired position; the second tool (27a, 27b, 27c) configured to perform the second operation on the second region (2a, 2b, 2c) located in the second desired position; where the first (28a, 28b, 28c) and the second (27a, 27b, 27c) tools are spaced apart by the second distance (d) along the direction (A). The feeding group (6) includes: a promotion means (10, 16) controlled to stop the roll (3) in a position in which the second region (2a, 2b, 2c) is spaced by a deliberate displacement (X) from the second desired position; and an actuating means (50) controlled to move the second region (2a, 2b, 2c) to the second desired position so as to compensate for the displacement (X), where the absolute difference between the first distance (e) and the second distance (d ) is equal to the displacement (X).
