SUBSTANCE: jewel comprises a number of modular units, wherein at least one of these modular units contains at least three connection points applicable for attaching to three additional modular units; each connection point is applicable to attach at least one modular element to the additional modular element. The jewel contains at least one intermediate portion arranged between the first connection point applicable to attach to the first additional modular element, and the second connection point applicable to attach to the second additional modular element from the above three connection points. The above at least one intermediate portion is configured to enclose the additional fourth element between the above additional first modular unit and the above second modular element; the above at least one modular element is attached to the above three additional units and functionally connected to the above additional fourth modular unit so as to transform the jewel from the folded configuration into the extended configuration by varying its dimensions. What is also presented is a method for combining the modular units for producing the jewel of transient size.
