FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: composition forming the PU foam, dispensed from one pressurized container and containing, at least, 5.0 weight percent of propellant, can be used to fill the gap between the window frame and the outer perimeter of the glass unit of the window assembly. The PU foam is preferably an OCF PU foam and can give significant advantages to the window assembly, particularly in combination with multiple glazing and/or HR glazing, such as improved thermal and acoustic performance, improved airtightness, increased fire resistance, stiffness and resistance to burglary.
EFFECT: foam forming composition provides friendliness to the user during its application and when the glass unit needs to be replaced, a corresponding window assembly, in which the application of the foam filling can provide a smaller window frame for the same glass surface, is described.
