SUBSTANCE: isolated human monoclonal antibody and its antigen-binding fragment that bind to human MASP-2 are disclosed. In addition, a nucleic acid molecule encoding the amino acid sequences of the variable regions of the antibody and an antigen-binding fragment are examined; an expression cassette; a cell and a method for production of an isolated anti-MASP-2 antibody or an antigen-binding fragment thereof. A composition for treatment of a condition associated with MASP-2-dependent complement activation; application of an anti-MASP-2 antibody for drug preparation, and an industrial product for treatment of a condition associated with MASP-2-dependent complement activation are also described.
EFFECT: can find further application in the therapy of complement-mediated diseases.
