SUBSTANCE: magnetic recording medium processing device has an excitation power supplying unit (521) for supplying excitation voltage (VCC), a reference potential unit (522), and a resonance excitating unit (523) including a resonant circuit, in which the inductor coil (L51) and the capacitor (C51) are connected between the first node (ND52) and the second node (ND53), a resonant unit (511), in which the first node receives excitation voltage and the second node resonates, when connected to the reference potential unit (522) for generating the magnetic field, and an excitation switching element (DSW51), which is connected between the second node (ND53) in the resonant unit and the reference potential unit (522), and for which it is possible to switch between a conductive state and a nonconductive state according to the control signal (CTL) to switch the connection status of the second node in the resonant unit and the reference potential unit between the connected state and disconnected state.
EFFECT: harmful effect on reading magnetic data is reduced, and illegal obtaining of magnetic data is prevented.
