FIELD: tobacco industry.
SUBSTANCE: smoking product with a filter comprising a plug of a filtering material, having the longitudinally extending surface; a wrapper wrapped around the longitudinally extending surface of the plug; and an inner surface of said wrapper facing said longitudinally extending surface of said plug containing a menthol pad, the menthol pad being applied to the wrapper and the plug being attached to the wrapper by means of the menthol pad up to closing the wrapper around the filtering material, and wherein the menthol patch comprises at least 99% of 2-isopropyl-5-methyl-cyclohexanol.
EFFECT: providing a flavour release agent in a filter for a smoking product that, when used, provides the improved flavour enhancement and the improved menthol flavour delivery to the consumer.
