FIELD: smoking accessories.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method for producing a flavour granule for a smoking article, which comprises steps of forming an inner core by compaction of particles of herbaceous plant material; providing a coating suspension containing from 20 weight percent to 30 weight percent of coloured particles of a binder, containing at least one dye and at least one polymer binder in a solvent; applying said coating suspension on the outer surface of the inner core to form the outer layer, wherein the coating suspension is applied to the inner core in the coating system, wherein vapour pressure of the solvent inside said coating system is more than 5 kPa; and drying the outer layer to evaporate the solvent.

EFFECT: technical result is increasing the amount of the flavour.
