SUBSTANCE: performance of test function of a trailer is initialized by an electrically controlled parking brake system. Performance of the test function of the trailer is stopped and/or interrupted when one of the following conditions is fulfilled: the main brake of the vehicle is switched on, gears of the gearbox are engaged, supply pressure of the electrically controlled parking brake system is below the predetermined value, vehicle is moving, the electrically controlled parking brake system is released, an error is detected. The control device for an electrically controlled parking brake system comprising a towing tractor and a trailer is designed to realise said method.
EFFECT: interruption of the test function of the trailer.
