FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: residual base oil producing method includes, at least, the following steps: (a) providing a paraffinic raffinate of a mineral high-viscosity cylinder oil; (b) combining the paraffinic raffinate of the mineral high-viscosity cylinder oil provided in step (a) with the residual base oil produced by the Fischer-Tropsch method subjected to catalytic dewaxing to prepare the mixture; and (c) dewaxing the mixture produced in step (b) with a solvent to produce the residual base oil. The weight ratio of the paraffinic raffinate of the mineral high-viscosity cylinder oil to the residual base oil produced by the Fischer-Tropsch method subjected to catalytic dewaxing in step (b) is in the range of 75:25 to 35:65. Another aspect of the present invention relates to the residual base oil that can be produced by this method.
