FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: device for patient identification and tubes labeling and a labeling machine are proposed. The device comprises a portable hardware device (1) for patient data processing and storage, adapted to associate the personal patient data with biometric data; a device (2) for patient biometric data reading and recognition, a personal computer (4) interacting with an operator and connected to a local data network (50) to exchange information with a remote data storage medium (3), one or more computerized labeling machines (5) for tubes (13), each comprising a printer (11) for printing barcodes on labels (10) adapted to receive printing instructions after checking the correspondence between the length of the detected tubes and lid colour of the detected tubes, with test characteristics associated with the said patient. The tubes are located in the positioning and recognition device (12) supported by the labeling machine (5), as well as applying these labels (10) to the tubes (13). The labeling machine (5) comprises a motorized main roller (33) and an upper (32a) and lower (32b) passive secondary rollers. The upper (32a) and lower (32b) passive secondary rollers are arranged to move forward and backward relative to the motorized main roller (33) so as to grasp the tube (13). The motorized main roller (33) is rotatable and causes rotation in the opposite direction of the tube (13) by means of two passive secondary rollers (32a, 32b). The label (10) is pulled up by entering the space between the motorized main roller (33) and the tube (13). The label printing operation (10) and the subsequent rotation of the motorized main roller (33) and the test tube (13) are coordinated, so that the label (10) is affixed to the tube (13). The labeling machine (5) comprises a data processing and control panel (6) having a unique address in the said local data network (50). The said data processing and control panel (6) is configured to exchange information with the remote data storage medium (3) and with the personal computer (4). Based on the said information, as well as information obtained after the said comparison performed by the said positioning and recognition device (12), printing commands are sent to the printer (11) contained in the labeling machine (5). The upper (32a) passive secondary roller swings so as to rise along the side surface of the tube (13) after gluing the label (10) and the upper (32a) and lower (32b) passive secondary rollers move together towards the motorized main roller (33), as long as it rotates to displace the tube (13) by sliding along the motorized main roller (33).
EFFECT: group of inventions provides improved labeling of tubes.
