FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: spectrometer includes a light source containing several LEDs, the emission spectra of which cover, in combination, the analyzed wavelength band, a sensor with photosensitive elements located in the path of the light beam after its interaction with the analyte, and a control device for adjusting the set values of supply current of the light source LEDs and the integration time of the photosensitive elements. The control device is configured to command a supply of power to, at least, one of the LEDs to turn on the light and measure the intensity of light emitted from the light source. The light intensity is measured by measuring current at the contact of, at least, one of the other LEDs that remain off. Depending on each of measurement of luminous intensity, the control device determines the set current value of each enabled LED and adjusts supply current of each LED enabled so that it matches the specified value.
EFFECT: increasing the accuracy and stability of measurement results.
