SUBSTANCE: invention relates to technical physics, it can be used in everyday life for express control of reflective media by their spectral and structural characteristics using optics and automation means. A portable video spectrometer for express control of reflective objects contains LEDs, which serve for lighting the object of study by spectral-narrow-band radiation, a lens forming an object image on charge-coupled device (CCD) matrix of black and white video camera, electronic units of control and power supply, a processor and a display.

EFFECT: increased device portability and possibility of using it in everyday life.
