SUBSTANCE: method includes: creating a list of applications running in the operating system, the list includes the identifiers of the running applications; determining, whether the application, corresponding to the currently viewed identifier, is a background application; if the application is a background application, then determining, whether the given white list contains the currently viewed identifier and whether the number of identifiers corresponding to the background applications in the application list exceeds the specified threshold value. The present white list is a list including identifiers of the background applications assigned to the user that the user does not want to close; selecting the ID corresponding to the background application not included in the white list from the application list, and closing the corresponding background application, if the white list includes the current ID being viewed, and the number of identifiers corresponding to the background applications in the list of applications exceeds the threshold.
