SUBSTANCE: invention relates to storing power of wireless communication devices, specifically to processing positioning information for realizing active control of power consumption caused by positioning service in a terminal device. To achieve the technical result, location information is received and, if the first application program is in the restricted position provision state and executed in the background, this information is discarded. At that, it is determined, whether the first applied program contains list of frozen applications for location service, which contains at least one application program, which is in the restricted position provisioning service state and which is executed in the background mode. Discarding location information if the first application is in the location provisioning service limitation state and the first application program is currently running in the background, comprises a step of dropping location information if the frozen applications list for a location service comprises a first application.
