FIELD: chemistry.

SUBSTANCE: polymer comprises: the first reactive site with a controlled molecular weight and an arrangement that contains, at least, one monomer containing a self-reactive functional group and an optionally reactive functional group; and the second reactive site with a controlled molecular weight and an arrangement that contains, at least, one monomer containing a reactive functional group, wherein the self-reactive functional groups of the first reactive site and the reactive functional group of the second reactive site are capable of undergoing crosslinking reactions while remaining reactive with each other, wherein the first reactive site and the second reactive site are molecularly compatible before curing as expressed by their bulk properties indicating a single-phase state, where the self-reactive functional groups are located in the reactive sites located at the ends of the polymer chain, where the reactive functional groups are located throughout the polymer chain, or the reactive functional groups are located in the second reactive site, where the self-reactive functional group is an epoxy group and where the reactive functional group is an acidic group. A pressure-sensitive adhesive composition and a method of its production are also claimed.

EFFECT: polymers are characterized by low molecular weight, which allows to produce compositions with a high content of solids.
