FIELD: manufacturing technology.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a coating composition. Coating composition comprises a mixture comprising: (a) polymer obtained from functional monomers, comprising (meth)acrylic monomer, allylic monomer or combinations thereof, each of which has an ethylene unsaturated double bond and an additional reactive functional group, at least some additional reactive functional groups of the functional monomer remain unreacted during the formation of the polymer; and (b) reactive diluent having at least one ethylenically unsaturated double bond with no additional functional group and a boiling point of more than 100 °C; and filler; the ethylene unsaturated functional group of the reactive diluent and the additional reactive functional group remaining in the polymer do not interact; and the coating composition has a measured solids content of at least 95% in accordance with test method ASTM D2369. Coating applied to a substrate is also proposed, comprising the reaction product of the coating composition, and a method for providing sound and vibration damping through the substrate.
EFFECT: technical result – the composition of the coating provides damping of sound and vibration, as well as the water resistance of the coating.
