SUBSTANCE: device for single-piece sorting contains a table and a conveyor belt to pull an individual valuable document from the pile of valuable documents on the table. The device for single-piece sorting has a positioning device. By means of the positioning device, at least, one portion of the conveyor belt is reciprocally movable relative to the table between the first position and the second position. The conveyor belt in the first position cannot touch the pile on the table. In the second position, the conveyor belt can touch the lowest valuable document of the pile on the table and pull it out of the pile.
EFFECT: reduction of noise emission.
