FIELD: packaging industry.

SUBSTANCE: package (1) for smoking products comprises of an outer container (2), made substantially in the form of a parallelepiped, and has a rear wall (12), a front wall (11), two side walls (13), a bottom wall (10) and open upper end (6). The outer container (2) has a hinged cover (7), which can be moved between the state when it opens the open upper end (6) and the state when it covers the open upper end (6) and which is formed by the rear wall (21), the front wall (22), the two side walls (27) and the upper wall (9). One lower edge of the front wall (22) of the lid (7) is integrally formed with the hardening wall (23), which is bent at an angle of 180° along the edge and is disposed adjacent to the inner surface of the front wall (22) of the lid (7). The hardening wall (23) contains at least two sections (23', 24', 25', 26'), which are made in pairs as a single unit with each other along the folding lines of (20) reduced strength and which can be inclined in relation to each other along the said lines (20) of reduced strength to accommodate end-to-end, at least, to the inner surface of the lid (7) on the upper wall (9) of the lid (7).
