SUBSTANCE: method comprises: analysis, for each of a plurality of voxels of the image data, of a record set in the dictionary, wherein the record is a correspondence between a portion of the voxels with a lower resolution and a higher-resolution voxel portion; identification, for each of a plurality of voxels, of the lower-resolution areas in the dictionary that are similar to the currently processed area around the voxel; creation of a data matrix with the identified portions, each row in the matrix including the concatenation of two vectors; analysis of the main components (PCA) with respect to the rows of the matrix to determine the main components; and estimation, based on the result of X-ray diffraction and only for the areas with a lower resolution, of the number of main components with the largest corresponding eigenvalue for modelling the local site; and restoration of the image data to create the target image data.
EFFECT: improving the quality of the image data.
