FIELD: engines and pumps.
SUBSTANCE: compression ratio is changed by changing the volume of the combustion chamber. For this, the crankshaft position is changed. This allows for any operating modes to set the compression ratio, the maximum permissible for fuel properties, including for low-octane fuel, which allows to increase the efficiency and power. In the engine, fuel injection and electromagnetic valve timing control are assumed. For system management of the electromechanical changes compression and engine operating modes are provided for motor drives, actuating mechanisms, microprocessor, which recorded the optimal engine operating modes. Sensors of external and internal environment conditions approximate operation modes to optimal ones. Optimal modes are determined by typical engine tests and stored in the memory of the microprocessor.
EFFECT: increase the efficiency of the engine due to changes in the compression ratio.
