SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of arts and crafts and is concerned with the method for manufacturing a decorative (art) item and an item produced by such method. In order to create a decorative item, a thread of appropriate colour is fixed in the needle, the needle with the thread fixed in it is brought to the front side of the embroidery base, then the stitches are laid in rows. The stitches are laid across the embroidery direction. In the process of stitch laying, alternation of short and long stitches is carried out. The rows of stitches are laid from bottom to top. The stitches of each subsequent (upper) row must slightly overlap the stitches of the previous row. After the stitches of the first shade are laid, a thread of another shade of the first colour is taken and the same stitches are performed with it by adding them into the already embroidered elements. Border zones of colours, in which one colour passes into another, are not densely sewn up, so that it is then possible to smoothly add one colour into another - add stitches-strokes of a different colour. A photographic image of all embroidered elements with indication of the stitch direction and its colour is attached to the embroidery base.
