FIELD: light industry. SUBSTANCE: method involves fixing cloth with applied embroider pattern in stretching frame; covering embroider pattern with threads on face and reverse sides of cloth; moving cloth in stretching frame relative to needle of sewing machine. The extent of stretching of cloth in stretching frame is chosen to be different in different directions relative to longitudinal thread of cloth. Stretching of upper and lower threads of sewing machine is regulated so that point of interweaving of upper and lower threads of each stitch is embedded inside cloth. Method further involves moving stretching frame with cloth in the direction of sequential covering of embroider pattern and simultaneously moving stretching frame with cloth in this direction so that stitches of the embroider form broken line. Length of stitch varies within a wide range and may be 2-5 mm. Method may be used for embroidering scarves and parts of dresses and other pieces of garments. Method allows garments satisfying haute fashion requirements to be created. EFFECT: increased quality and improved ornamental effect. 2 cl, 3 dwg
