FIELD: production of knitted ornamental articles. SUBSTANCE: method involves knitting fabric and embroidering thereon. Knitted fabric is manufactured by making loops and throws for forming openwork structure base of ornamental article composition. Embroidering on knitted fabric is effectuated by means of threads of similar or different colors. Method further involves placing ornamental article on underframe in front of background; making face and/or reverse loops and/or throws of different size; knitting fabric in horizontal and/or vertical and/or diagonal plane; placing knitted fabric and/or embroidery of light colors against dark color background and placing embroidery and/or knitted fabric of dark color against light color background; forming knitted fabric and/or embroidery thereon in the form of integral parts or from individual fragments; forming embroidery stitches in parallel with or perpendicular to or diagonally to knitted fabric loops. Knitted parts with throws are not embroidered or embroidered by means of single and/or several threads so that embroidery stitches repeat and/or tighten and/or stretch throw shape.
