FIELD: testing equipment.

SUBSTANCE: stand for research of deformation of drops with aerodynamic forces includes vertically located dropper with capillary, system for supply of counter current air flow, blowing on the falling drop, and visualization system. The air flow supply system comprises a battery of compressed air cylinders connected by a pipeline through a reducer, a control valve and a flowmeter, with an inlet of a cylindrical pipe installed coaxially with the dropper. In the pipe a flow conditioner is located, made in the form of not less than six plates, disposed symmetrically to pipe radii. Visualization system includes a video camera, located with the possibility of recording the original spherical drops on a slice of a dropper, and two high-speed cameras, located with the possibility of recording the speed and deformation of falling drops in perpendicular planes in outlet cross section of the pipe. The diameter of the capillary, the diameter of the initial spherical drop, the diameter and length of the pipe, the air flow velocity and the Weber number are determined by the given algebraic formulas.

EFFECT: increase the device effectiveness and the informative nature of the study.
