FIELD: physics.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to an apparatus for investigating physical processes, particularly to investigate the dynamics of destruction of a spherical liquid macro-volume during free fall in air. Proposed plant comprises thin-wall elastic shell filled with fluid, shell wall piercing device and destruction process visualization system. Device for piercing the wall of the shell is made in the form of a ring, in circumferential direction of which there is uniformly installed at least two pointed needles directed radially towards the axis of symmetry of the ring. Pointed ends of the needles are located on the circle in the plane perpendicular to the symmetry axis of the ring. In order to supply a sealed spherical shell to the ring in free fall mode, a cylindrical guide bushing is installed coaxially to it in the ring top part, the inner wall of which is coated with antifriction grease. Height of guide bushing, its inner diameter and diameter of circle, on which there are pointed ends of needles, initial speed of movement of liquid macro-volume are determined by given algebraic ratios.

EFFECT: technical result consists in improvement of reliability of experimental data on destruction of massifs of liquid at free fall in air.
