FIELD: chemistry.

SUBSTANCE: method for separating uranium isotopes involves contacting uranium hexafluoride and sodium fluoride to obtain sodium fluoro-uranate or sodium fluorourenates followed by thermal decomposition of salts at the pressure not higher than the equilibrium vapor pressure of uranium hexafluoride vapor over the corresponding salts or their mixtures at the decomposition temperature.

EFFECT: decreasing the material consumption and simplifying the equipment park for the method implementation, increasing the separation factor of uranium isotopes and increasing the process productivity.
