FIELD: construction.
SUBSTANCE: method for producing keramzite gravel is that raw dried pellets are fed into a rotary kiln, where the pellets are dried and calcined in the sequential zones of the oven while they are moved from one end of the oven to the other and under the temperature rising along the oven. Then the keramzite pellets are cooled, and in the first zone of the oven the pellets are dried at the temperature increasing up to 450-500°C. In the second zone they preliminarily calcine the pellets at the temperature from 500 up to 1000°C and at the growth rate of temperature greater than the temperature for drying pellets. And in the third zone of the oven the pellets are finally calcined at 1050-1100°C. The method is developed in the dependent claims.
EFFECT: obtaining constructional keramzite gravel with a solid microporous shell and a dense core, which has a high mechanical strength.
