FIELD: manufacturing of porous ceramic fillers for concrete, preferably, for production of ceramic gravel (clay filler). SUBSTANCE: granules of raw clay filler are treated with solution of silicates or aluminates of alkaline metals or with solution of alkaline hydroxide or with mixture of silicate or aluminate solution of alkaline metal with alkaline hydroxide, density of solution being higher 1.05 g/cm³. Said treatment is followed by drying of granules. In particular case before drying granules are additionally treated with solution of sulfates of aluminium and/or magnesium, density of solution being more 1.05 g/cm³.
