GEAR TRAIN Russian patent published in 2017 - IPC F16H57/04

Abstract RU 2639383 C1

FIELD: machine engineering.

SUBSTANCE: gear train comprises paired gear wheels fixed on shafts mounted in a enclosed body with a magneto-active powdered lubricant arranged therein which is activated by an externally located source of a magnetic field. The body is made of diamagnetic material, the teeth of the gear rims of the wheels are made of ferromagnetic material. The body of each gear wheel is made of diamagnetic material. A tubular element made of ferromagnetic material is embedded in the body of each gear wheel. The outer diameter of the element is less than the diameter of the circumference of the gear rim wheel base. The width of the element is less than the body thickness. The element is made integral with the teeth of the gear rim and connected to them by radially oriented bridges also made of ferromagnetic material. The cross-section of the bridges is equal throughout their height. The width of the bridges is equal to the width of the tubular element, the thickness of the bridges is less than the thickness of the tooth bases. And the bridges themselves are located symmetrically with respect to the side surfaces of the teeth.

EFFECT: increase quality of gear train lubrication process.
