FIELD: printing industry.

SUBSTANCE: printing systems and methods using the electro-hydrodynamic fluid delivery method can be used together with the electrophotographic image forming elements. The claimed group of inventions includes an image forming device and a method for supplying ink to the surface of the image forming element. The image forming device includes: an element to form an image, characterized by the presence of the charge-saving surface, a charging unit, designed for applying the electrostatic charge to the charge-saving surface to ensure the specified electric potential, a lighting unit designed for releasing the electrostatic charge on the charge-saving surface to form a discharged area, a developing component designed for applying ink to the charge-saving surface to form a developed image and a transfer component designed to transfer the developed image from the charge-saving surface to another element or substrate for copying and offset voltage unit designed for the adjustment of the electric field between the developing component and the element surface to form an image. The element surface to form images is located at a distance from the developing component and the developing component comprises of a container with ink and lots of capillary holes, directed to the element surface for the formation of the image where the electrode is located near the capillary holes to ensure the electric charge and electric field formation between the developing component and image forming element.

EFFECT: ensuring accurate control of the amount of ink without deteriorating the image quality.
