FIELD: fire safety.
SUBSTANCE: modular fire extinguishing system with a vortex apparatus for the formation a gas-liquid mixture comprises of a vessel containing the fire extinguishing agent, a starting cylinder with a working gas, a piping network with sprayers, and the vessel is secured by brackets to the engineering structure of the room and has a gas phase reset device, combined with a measuring feeler for fire-extinguishing agent and is equipped with device for the formation of a gas-liquid mixture of vortex type, which is made in the form of a conical mixing chamber with tangential input in the upper part, made in the form of a flexible high pressure hose connected with the starting cylinder, filled with the working gas (e.g. nitrogen or CO2), while the supply of fire-extinguishing agent is carried out by a vortex element, coaxial with the chamber and designed as a conical perforated helix with a perforation ratio within the range of 50÷80%, and the gas-liquid mixture is supplied to a central pipeline from the bottom of the chamber, connected to a discharge device for fire-extinguishing agent, combined with a safety valve. The vertical branch pipe of the mixing chamber is connected to the fire-extinguishing agent filling device and pressure indicator unit, and the starting cylinder is located next to the fire-extinguishing agent tank and is equipped with a lock-and-release device for electrical and thermomechanical start. Each node of the distribution network includes a gas-liquid mixture distribution device, while a standard tee is used to divide the flow into two directions. When the flow is divided into two or more directions, they use a distribution device of a special design, e.g. chamber type, and each sprayer or sprayer assembly is equipped with an orientor in one or two planes, and the sprayer contains a base, which is connected with, at least, two arc-shaped holders, which hold the bushing with a divider, secured in it. The divider is designed as a diffusor with a shoulder, bent towards the base, and with lobes, located on the conical surface generatrix of the shoulder. Inside the divider a spray nozzle is additionally installed. It is made as a bowl, fixed by at least three radial horizontal flat lobes to the inner surface of the divider. The axis of the bowl coincides with the axes of the through-channel of the fitting and bushing, and its inner cavity is directed towards the bushing.
EFFECT: increase in the response speed of the fire-extinguishing system.
