FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: percutaneous puncture of the radial artery is performed in the interstitial space between the second metacarpal bone and the tendon of the thumb extensor on the back surface of the hand.
EFFECT: method allows to exclude radial artery thrombosis in the forearm region and to reduce the risk of hand ischemia with radial arterial access for endovascular diagnostic procedures and surgical interventions.
